West Islip, NY - Kathryn Brennan, RN, was named a 2010 regional finalist for Nursing Spectrum Excellence in management category. Honors will be given at the NY/NJ Nursing Excellence Awards banquet on June 2 at the Glenpointe Marriott in Teaneck, New Jersey.
The other categories for the award are advancing and leading the profession, clinical care, community service, mentoring and teaching. During the event, one nurse from each of the six categories will be named a regional winner, and those six will move on to the national program, representing New York and New Jersey. The national winners will be announced in the fall.
Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds), voluntary, not-for-profit hospital located in West Islip.
