CALENDAR ANNOUNCEMENT

 

 

WHAT:                        “How Natural Family Planning Renews Marriages” – a day-long conference will be held at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Lloyd Harbor (Huntington). 

This event will focus on medical/scientific aspects; marital/relational dimensions and moral and cultural issues around Natural Family Planning.

Included with the program are Mass and lunch.

 

WHO:                          Conference presenters include:

 

·         Jennifer DeMarco, D.O., LLC has been in private practice since 2001 in Amityville.  She will present on the medical/scientific issues related to natural family planning.  She is board certified to practice family medicine and is a member of several associations of physicians.  Dr. DeMarco belongs to the Committee on Natural Family Planning for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

 

·         Raymond Nardo, Esq. is also a member of the Committee on Natural Family Planning for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.  He promotes natural family planning with his wife Kim through diocesan sponsored training sessions for engaged and married couples.  The Nardo’s will present on the marital/relational aspects of natural family planning.

 

·         Virginia Corbett, R.N. directs the Long Island Teen Freedom Youth Development Program which promotes abstinence as a way of arriving at self mastery.  She is a Creighton Model of FertilityCare practitioner, helping couples to value, respect and appreciate their fertility.  She will be addressing the marital/relational aspects of natural family planning with an emphasis on the theology of the body.

 

·                                                                     Reverend Daniel McCaffrey, S.T.D. is a priest of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and promotes natural family planning full time in the United States and other countries.  He is a graduate of Providence College in Rhode Island and received a doctoral degree in theology from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas in Rome.  For twenty years of his ministry, Father McCaffrey served in the US Army and during that time was stationed in Vietnam, So. Korea, Germany and Honduras.  Father McCaffrey will speak on the moral and cultural dimensions of natural family planning.
