ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – August 17, 2011 – Telecare, the television station of the Diocese of Rockville Centre will preempt regular programming to broadcast coverage of World Youth Day from Madrid, Spain. Telecare is carried on Cablevision channels 29/137 or Verizon FiOS channel 296.
The schedule of World Youth Day broadcasts on Telecare is as follows:
• Thursday, August 18 at 1:15 p.m.: Welcoming ceremonies, broadcast live. Replay at 8:30 p.m.
• Friday, August 19 beginning at 5:30 a.m. Meeting with religious women, broadcast live. Replay at 10:00 p.m. Meeting with young university professors, live at 6:00 a.m. Way of the Cross, live at 1:30 p.m., replay at 8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, August 20 beginning at 4:00 a.m. Mass with seminarians live, replay at 5:30 p.m.; visit to the Foundacion Instituto S. Jose, live at 1:30 p.m.; prayer vigil, live at 2:30 p.m., replay at

The Diocese of Rockville Centre (www.drvc.org) was formed in 1957 and covers 1,198 square miles in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
