Vice President of Finance Named for Good Samaritan Hospital Print E-mail

Stephen T. TrapaniWest Islip, NY – Stephen T. Trapani, CPA, has been appointed vice president of finance for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.  In this role, Trapani is responsible for financial services, health information management, clinical documentation and functions related to patient access.  Previously, he served as vice president of finance for Mercy Medical Center and, prior to that, South Nassau Communities Hospital.  He has more than 25 years of experience in financial management and health care operations. 

“Mr. Trapani comes to us with solid planning abilities and organizational skills in coordinating all aspects of financial management and reporting,” stated Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Nancy Simmons.  “His expertise in these areas will be a tremendous asset to Good Samaritan.”

At Mercy Medical Center—like Good Samaritan Hospital, a member of Catholic Health Services—Trapani’s accomplishments included implementing numerous strategies that improved financial and organizational performance.  A graduate of Adelphi University, the Syosset resident is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Public Accountants and Health Care Financial Management Association.
