BIKING 4 VOCATIONS PILGRIMS SET TO ARRIVE IN DIOCESE OF ROCKVILLE CENTRE ON SUNDAY, JUNE 14; COMPLETING 1400 MILE, 29 DAY JOURNEY

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. June 10, 2015 The five Biking 4 Vocations (www.biking4vocations.org) pilgrims are scheduled to complete their 1400-mile, 29 day journey on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at approximately 09:45 a.m. EDT. After having started out on May 17 from Saint Augustine, Florida and having biked through 11 states, 10 dioceses and 5 archdioceses, Reverend Joseph Fitzgerald, Director of Vocations, Diocese of Rockville Centre, Reverend Marc Swartvagher, Academic Dean for Cathedral Seminary House of Formation, Douglaston, and seminarians Stephen Rooney, Dominik Wegiel and Steven Diaz are scheduled to cross the balloon arch finish line situated between the St. Agnes Parish Ministry Building and the St. Agnes Rectory at 29 Quealy Place, Rockville Centre, NY, 11570. All are welcome to greet the pilgrims at the finish line.

After having started out on May 17 from Saint Augustine, Florida and having biked through 11 states, 10 dioceses and 5 archdioceses, Reverend Joseph Fitzgerald, Director of Vocations, Diocese of Rockville Centre, Reverend Marc Swartvagher, Academic Dean for Cathedral Seminary House of Formation, Douglaston, and seminarians Stephen Rooney, Dominik Wegiel and Steven Diaz are scheduled to cross the balloon arch finish line situated between the Saint Agnes Parish Ministry Building and the Saint Agnes Rectory at 29 Quealy Place, Rockville Centre, NY, 11570.

After a break, the pilgrims will vest for the 11:00 Mass celebrated by Bishop Murphy in the Cathedral of Saint Agnes. All are welcome to attend this Mass. Bishop Murphy will thank God for the safe completion of the pilgrimage and recognize the amazing achievement made by the five riders.

Following Mass, the Biking 4 Vocations pilgrims will thank all visitors and supporters during fellowship on the lawn area adjacent to the Cathedral.
