ROCKVILLE CENTRE -January 20, 2017- Members of the media are invited to attend the Solemn Evening Prayer in Vigil of the Installation of Most Reverend John Oliver Barres, S.T.D., J.C.L., D.D. and the Celebration of the Eucharist for the Installation of Bishop Barres as the Fifth Bishop of Rockville Centre.
Evening Prayer will take place on January 30, 2017 at 7:30 PM in St. Agnes Cathedral.*
The Installation will take place on January 31, 2017 at 2:00 PM in St. Agnes Cathedral.**
There is limited space in the Cathedral for video cameras and still photographers.
For live broadcast access details of both the Evening Prayer and/or the Installation Mass, interested media outlets should submit their request via email to Telecare Television at: email@example.com
Due to security procedures, all media must be in place inside the Cathedral no later than 6:30 PM for Evening Prayer* and 1:00 PM for the Installation Mass.** Media will not be permitted to enter the Cathedral after these times. After 6:30 PM for Evening Prayer and 1:00 PM for the Installation Mass, media will also not be permitted to move from outside the Cathedral to inside the Cathedral and vice versa.
Due to security protocols in place media wishing to conduct person on the street interviews prior to the Mass are to conduct those interviews in the parking lot across from the Cathedral.
Parking on Clinton Ave. will be available for TV trucks.
Press credentials, issued by this office, will be required for the admission of all reporters and photographers to the Cathedral for Evening Prayer and the Installation Mass. Seating is extremely limited; to assure admittance, please make your request as early as possible. Due to security procedures, press credentials are non transferrable.
