Diocesan Bishop John O. Barres to Lead Holy Hour at Chaminade

Bishop John O. Barres of the Diocese of Rockville Centre will lead a Holy Hour for the young people of the Diocese at Chaminade High School in Mineola on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.  A Holy Hour is a Catholic tradition of prayer and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  This will be Bishop Barres’ first Holy Hour since being installed as the fifth Ordinary of the Diocese in January.

More than 500 high-school- and college-age men and women are expected to attend.  The evening will include prayer, music, scripture, and a reflection offered by the Bishop.  Over the past few years, the Diocese has organized Holy Hours to promote vocations to the priesthood and religious life, fellowship, and spiritual growth of its young-adult population.

The Bishop, representatives from the Diocese and Chaminade, and attendees will be available for interviews.
