All Saints/All Souls, Immaculate Conception, Saint Paul These feast days fall on weekends, making particular directives necessary for their proper celebration. The attached page gives comments for the celebration of Evening Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours on All Saints/All Souls and Immaculate Conception. During this Pauline Year, the Conversion of Saint Paul will be celebrated on Sunday, January 25, 2009.

On July 18-20, DRVC Youth Ministry and the Youth2000 New York office will be sponsoring a World Youth Day themed retreat at Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, NY. There will be music, food, small group discussions, Eucharistic Adoration, Mass and talks led by the Franciscan Friars and Sisters of the Renewal, Msgr. Jim McDonald (Rector of the Diocesan Seminary of the Immaculate Conception), recently ordained Fr. Joe Fitzgerald of St. Kilian's Parish in Farmingdale, and other local Long Island speakers. There will also be an electronic video link with Bishop Murphy and the diocesan youth pilgrims in Sydney, Australia. All high school aged youth and young adults are invited to attend. Cost is $60 per participant. Call 718-349-1157 or e-mail yth2000ny@aol.com to register by July 16. Each group of 7 youth under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone 21 or over.
