"We are going to think what heaven will be like. 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love Him.'  Can you imagine what it will be like to arrive there and meet God, to see that beauty, that love which is poured out into our hearts, which satisfies without satiating?  I ask  myself how many times each day, 'What will it be like when all the beauty, all the goodness, all the infinite wonder of God is poured into this poor earthenware vessel that I am, that all of us are?'  Then I will understand those words of the Apostle: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard...'  It is worthwhile my children, it worthwhile." (St. Josemaria Escrivá)

Have you ever imagined it?  A priest friend, Fr. William Delaney, once told me something along these lines:  Think of the most incredible sunset you have ever seen - imagine the hues, the glow, the brilliance.  Now imagine a work of art you most admire - the play of light and shadow, the blended colors and textures erupting on canvas.  Think about a magnificent symphony - how it swells and builds, the different instruments coming together to create a musical masterpiece.  Ponder the greatest truths you have known, taught by the best minds humankind has produced.  Finally, imagine the tenderest love - between parent and child, lovers, or friends.  All of this beauty and grace, wrapped into one, cannot even come close to what God has prepared for us.

We are to keep our minds and our hearts on things above.  St. Paul's letter to the Philippians tells us:  "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." (Phil. 4:8)   Today, imagine heaven; then, strive for it!  It is worthwhile, my children, it is worthwhile...
