While the congregation's historic focus was mainly in education and health care, today the ministries of the sisters are as unique as the sisters themselves, the gifts they bring and the needs in the community and church.

The Sisters of Charity's mission is to stand on the side of the poor. Sisters now minister in parishes as pastoral associates, religious education coordinators or home visitors. They work as teachers, administrators and volunteers in schools and colleges. They serve the poor and disadvantaged through social service programs and as counselors. They work in health care, in nursing and as clinical specialists. We welcome those whom God calls to share our life.
