Perpetual Pilgrims

The Diocese of Rockville Centre invites a dedicated group of young adults, ages 18 to 29, to apply to be Perpetual Pilgrims.
These Perpetual Pilgrims will make the entire nine-day journey with the Lord in the Eucharist across the Diocese from May 31st – June 8th 2025, along with priest chaplains and an official pilgrimage team.
​These pilgrims will represent the many young people from across Long Island who are on fire with Eucharistic love and missionary fervor. Applicants should be in good physical condition, capable
of walking long distances, and committed to Christ, the teachings of his Church, and ongoing intellectual and spiritual formation.
Applications for Perpetual Pilgrims are now open and will close on February 2, 2025.

  • Send a letter of reccomendation from a priest or campus minister to Fr. Christopher Sullivan at csullivan@drvc.org

  • Will there be housing?
    • Yes, housing will be provided for the duration of the pilgrimage. 
  • Are meals included?
    • Yes, all meals will be included for perpetual pilgrims?
  • I will not be between the ages of 18-29 during the pilgrimage, can I still apply?
    • No, however there are several parts of the pilgrimage open to the general public and we will need volunteers for events, see the our website for more information.
  • How far will we walk each day?
    • While the route for each day will vary, pilgrims should be able to walk 5 miles in a day.
  • Are their any costs associated with being a perpetual pilgrim?
    • There are no costs associated
  • Is there any fundraising involved?
    • To help support the Eucharistic Pilgrimage and defer the costs, perpetual pilgrims will be asked to work with their local parish to fundraise at least $1,000. If you are selected to be a pilgrim our team will speak with you and your pastor to support your fundraising efforts.
  • What will pilgrims do?
    • Perpetual pilgrims are here to represent the people of God on Long Island. They will first and most importantly accompany the Blessed Sacrament across our Diocese. They will may be asked to contribute according to their talents by leading music, speaking to parishioners, promoting and advertising the pilgrimage events and Eucharistic Congress.
  • I cannot commit to the pilgrimage, is there another way to get involved?
